Perry

A complete view of Perry, one of the first scenes completed on the new layout, shows how the retaining wall and GSN mainline split Perry in two.

A Chicago & Northwestern commuter train pulls into the Perry station as the sun sets in the background.

Perry

The facility at Perry was expanded to service more logging locomotives that switch the saw mill at Middletown.

Perry is the southern terminus of the Otter Creek & Perry Railroad Company, a railroad that never existed in full scale. The scene is set for the late teens/early 1920’s, and is normally the domain of Steam Engines only! There are many industries located in the town of Perry served by the OC&P – various warehouses, an ice house, a dairy, a microbrewery, and a coal loading facility that receives coal from hopper cars in Norristown to the east. The switching operations are set up in two tiers with the Garden State Northern mainline dividing the two. All of the crossovers and industrial tracks are controlled by Perry Tower. The OC&P has an enginehouse, locomotive servicing facility, and even a turntable to turn its Doodlebug and steam locomotives.
